Lot 60: VERY EARLY 1920'S DESIGN CAKE STAND FROM THE UNION CASTLE LINE

As used on board ship cake stand from the Union Castle Line. Dating from the 1920’s the item shows a decorative patterned edge which was one of the early designs and is bottom marked with company and makers mark. A great find and in a great condition with the size being 8¾"(22cm) wide

[The Union Line was founded in 1853 as the Southampton Steam Shipping Company to transport coal from South Wales to Southampton.
