Lot 67: AVI-8 Hawker Hurricane Carey Dual Time Automatic Wristwatch Reference AV-4088
An AVI-8 Hawker Hurricane Carey Dual Time automatic wristwatch featuring a black PVD-coated stainless steel case and a textured black dial with radial ribbing. The dial displays Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, with the AVI-8 and Hawker Hurricane branding present. The crystal features the word AUTOMATIC printed in white on the upper outer portion. The exhibition case back reveals the automatic movement and is inscribed with technical specifications including ALL STAINLESS STEEL, WATER RESISTANT 5 ATM, SAPPHIRE COATED LENS, and reference number AV-4088. The timepiece is mounted on an original tan genuine leather strap stamped AVI-8 and GENUINE LEATHER on the reverse, complete with a black-coated buckle. The item includes an RAF-style roundel retail tag and an adhesive price tag marked 310 pounds.

Condition report:
The watch is in very good, near-new condition and retains its original retail tags. The black PVD case and sapphire-coated lens show no significant signs of wear or scratches. The leather strap is in excellent state with minimal signs of handling. The automatic movement is functional at the time of cataloguing; however, its long-term timekeeping accuracy and water resistance have not been tested.
